Recording artist, songwriter and actress — a vocal range of four octaves, singing in five languages.
Krista’s mother managed the Orpheum Theatre, home of the New Orleans Symphony. Her voice was apparent by age 5, and she trained with the Louisiana State University Children’s Opera Society, reading music by 7.
At 9 the family moved to Los Angeles, where she landed recurring television roles and commercials and earned a Screen Actors Guild nomination at 12. After a Star Search win and signing to Warner Brothers as an R&B artist at 13, she declined further pop overtures — singing classically was her calling.

A featured soloist in the Spielberg soundtrack Amistad, scored by John Williams, Krista studied at LACHSA, debuted in opera in Alcina, won the African Americans for Opera Young Artist Award and LA Opera’s Spotlight Awards, and earned a scholarship to USC’s Thornton School of Music, where she fell in love with Bel Canto.
She learned to sing in Italian, French and German, studied at L’Accademia de Monte Carlo — debuting in Italy in La Serva Padrona under Maestro Herbert Handt — and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Classical Voice from USC.
Working with producer Qura Rankin and producer Stephanie Vlahos, she developed a pop-classical recording style. She founded the Afrobeats festival Helix in 2019, then found clarity in the pandemic years — intersecting classical music with fashion, invited by Versace and Ferragamo to Milan Fashion Week, and growing to over a million followers.
She recorded debut arias at Warner Brothers’ Eastman Soundstage under Maestro Anthony Parthner, then wrote and produced the album with composer Nathan Wang — recorded with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at Abbey Road and finalized by Dave Reitzas at Westlake Studios.
